Comfort food at it's finest !
Butter 3 slices of bread and cut into quarters
Arrange one slice of the bread at the bottom of your dish.
Sprinkle on 1 teaspoon of demerara sugar
Sprinkle on some raisins/sultanas or any dried fruit
REPEAT this again to make a new layer...
Making the final layer...
Arrange one slice of the bread as the final layer
Sprinkle on 1 teaspoon of demerara sugar
DO NOT ADD THE RAISINS/SULTANAS
Gently push down the layers with a spoon so that the bread is inside the dish and not higher than the top
Now add the custard powder and granulated sugar into a jug and mix in the 1/2 a pint of milk
Pour this slowly over the layered bread. Leave this to soak for around 20-30 minutes for the best effect
Put the dish on the lower rack in the Foodi and Bake/Roast at 180 c for 20 minutes
Eat and enjoy !!!
