ninja foodi pasta bolognese
Yields4 Servings
 1 Red PepperDiced chunky
200 g MushroomsButton mushrooms whole or chunky chopped mushrooms
 500 g Lean Minced Beef
2 Garlic ClovesCrushed or chopped small
 200 g Pasta or Spaghetti
2 Jars of Bolognese SauceI used Asda Extra Special Bolognese Jars (340g each)
 340 ml Boiling Water
 2 Oxo Cubes (Beef)Optional
 200 g Grated Cheese
1

Put the Ninja Foodi on Sear/Saute High and let it warm up for a minute or two. Add the red pepper to the pot and let it fry gently for about 2 minutes

2

Now add the minced beef. Stir it around with a wooden spoon and keep cooking until the beef has turned brown. This takes around 3-4 minutes maximum. Do not let it overcook, just get rid of the redness

3

Now add in the garlic (optional) and mushrooms and stir through. You can add in some salt and pepper to season now if you wish. Cook for 1-2 minutes just to heat it through. Turn off the Sear/Saute

4

Pour the two jars of sauce over the meat/pepper/mushroom mix. DO NOT STIR (this is really important)

5

Pour over the pasta evenly (I used twists but any pasta or spaghetti would be fine), again DO NOT STIR.

Gently pour over the 340ml hot water with the oxo in (you don't have to add the oxo, water alone is fine I just like the beefy taste)

6

Pressure Cook for 5 minutes on High and Quick Release the pressure. Now you can stir and it will be perfect

7

Sprinkle over the grated cheese and Grill on for around 3-4 minutes to melt the cheese, longer if you want it more crispy. Now it is good to serve, Enjoy !

  1. Love this recipe. Made it twice now and works perfect. No messing with cooking pasta separately. Can’t believe how good it is. I added some onions and some Italian seasoning. Great recipe.

  2. This recipe is awesome. I add onions, celery, tarragon and oregano. (I like mine with a lot of flavour so some lea and perrins). I find mature cheddar works best.

Wife loves it. I love it. Kids love it.

    Happy days

  3. First time I’ve used a Foodie recipe. Worked well. So easy! Great that didn’t have to boil pasta separately! Tasted great. However we like our pasta cooked a bit more. Please can you advise how much longer in the pressure cooker?

  4. I made this a couple of nights ago. It was absolutely delicious and so quick and easy. I didn’t have pasta sauce or pasta shapes so I replaced with passata tinned cherry tomatoes and a bit of tomato purée and spaghetti. I was surprised how well the spaghetti cooked. Thank you. Will definitely be making this again and again. Hubby loved it.

    1. You can easily use your own bolognese sauce for this recipe. You can either make it separately and add to the recipe instead of the jar OR simply add 2 x tins of chopped tomatoes, 6 cherry tomatoes (halved), a teaspoon of basil and oregano, 2 tbsp tomato puree and 125ml red wine.

  5. I cooked this tonight however it turned out very very black with flakes of black bits in it? I only used one jar of pasta sauce as I had half the amount of mince was that my mistake? Don’t know what the black flakes were though but they were at the bottom when I stirred at the end of all the cooking Many thanks
